My friend and facialist Lexa who I’ve gone to on and off for over 10 years has never wavered in her love of Éminence. While other skin pros are constantly trying the latest and greatest from different lines, she swears that this Hungarian plant-powered range offers a solution to treat any sort of skin issue safely and naturally.
And I’m starting to agree.
Last spring I bought the Tropical Vanilla Day Cream SPF 32 which I’ve since used daily. I’ve also used it for the girls’ SPF when they complained about theirs being too sticky or smelling weird. This thick, whipped, yummy smelling cream is probably the most elegant SPF I’ve ever used. I thought it might be too heavy but it absorbs so well and doesn’t at all leave any after feel or sticky mess behind. You’d never know that it’s basically an adult version of the safe physical (zinc based) sunscreens I use on the girls because it feels so great on the skin. It’s probably my favorite SPF/ day cream I’ve used in recent years and one I’ll purchase again.
But this spicy Lime Stimulating Masque is what I’ve been telling everyone about. It’s hands down the most unique mask I’ve ever used. Because I’m pregnant and still trying to kick some discoloration, Lexa recommended this green gel to stimulate and increase circulation which gives my skin a healthy glow. It’s filled with lime, nettles (which is what causes the heat), vitamins, and lactic acid and it literally heats my skin up so much so that my face is red for a good hour after I remove it (so use it at night before bed.) You can do extractions after because your skin is so soft that everything can be easily removed, which is what I do before using a charcoal mask after that. It’s a true at-home spa caliber treatment that makes my skin look so good and feel incredibly soft. It has an amazing scent too that’s fresh and green mixed with a slight cinnamon-y sort of spice. It’s the first mask I’ve gone through so quickly just because the results are so noticeable and it’s fun to use.
If a tingly experience isn’t your thing, you can check out their impressive mask selection (I also adore this one which doubles as a spot treatment.) But the line as a whole (except for this actually which was way too intense) has never done me wrong.
