Enessa has been one of my favorite skincare lines since I tried it several years ago. It was one of the original organic lines that began back when Goop wasn’t really a thing, and it was a pretty fringe movement to use skincare that wasn’t sold at a department store. It also changed my perspective on how effective natural skincare could be. Michelle Ornstein, Enessa’s founder, has always been greatly committed to quality, purity, and sourcing which all make Enessa’s products some of the most effective on the market.
I recently got to try out 2 of their signature products that aim to zap of 2 two stubborn skin problems: Breakouts and dull skin.
Breakout, Reactive, and Oily Skin
It’s one of their best sellers for a reason. Clove Blemish Control feels every bit like a rich, luxurious serum with its quick absorption, and skin-softening magic. It’s made using a base of organic jojoba oil, which mimics our skin’s own sebum so it’s easily tolerated, combined with clove oil to calm redness and swelling, and black cumin seed oil to balance the skin. It smells of warm cloves, like something you’d use in a defuser, and a few drops goes a long way. When my skin is reactive or in breakout mode, this is what I use to get me back on track. It softens, calms, and soothes my skin leaving it feeling balanced and clear.
Age Defying, Dry, and Dull Skin
Kakadu Age Defiance is a serum with the consistency of a light lotion that melts into your skin leaving it so soft and plump. Bakuchoil acts as a natural retinol to soften fine lines, while Kakadu Plum extract strengthens the skin’s barrier. These sophisticated ingredients are combined with a long list of others, mostly organic, that are designed to bring out the very best in your skin. I can tell when I don’t use it because my skin doesn’t look as refreshed and rested. It gives an instant shot of moisture as well as lasting softness with ingredients found to improve the look of skin over time.
Check out my review on their Seaweed Bio-Exfoliant which remains one of my favorite exfoliants ever, along with this list of their travel sizes if you’re looking to try before you buy.
