I’m sure you’ve heard by now the buzz on CBD. Cannabidiol aka CBD, is a naturally-occurring chemical compound found in marajuana and hemp plants. CBD and THC make up the two main ingredients in cannabis. THC is what gives you a high, while CBD does not. CBD has tons of proven health benefits, is legal in every state, and companies like Garden of Life are even jumping onboard with a line of CBD-infused products. I’ve used CBD for years on and off for anxiety. This Harvard Medical School article is a great primer for all things CBD if you’re looking to learn more.
When it comes to skincare, CBD has been shown to aid skin affected by eczema, psoriasis, and acne. It also gives big benefits with its anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and overall healing properties. Since CBD in skincare is unregulated, it’s so important to choose a reputable company to make sure that what you’re receiving is the real deal.
Each bottle of FACIAL GLOW OIL #8 from Colorado company Eossi produces contains 1000 mg of CBD and is tested by a third party lab to ensure quality. This includes the type of cannabinoids used, and whether it contains any pesticides, heavy metals, or microbials. It’s an incredibly expensive and time-consuming process, (you can read more about it HERE); Eossi takes quality and transparency very seriously.
CBD aside, this serum contains some of my very favorite skin-loving ingredients. It’s made using a base of Moroccan and Grapeseed Oils, Vitamin E, Rosehip, and of course their broad spectrum CBD oil.
The serum is wonderfully rich with an incredible feel so just a few drops go a long way. It gives instant hydration and a glass-like feeling to my thirsty (and notoriously reactive) skin. It does what it says- it gives a glow to my skin- so much so that I’ll add a few extra drops to my cheekbones over makeup for a highlight that looks natural and hits the light so beautifully. Also of note, its sexy warm scent from Frankincense, Myrrh, and Jasmine that begs to be used on my neck and décolleté just to carry that scent with me all day long.
